The Lord dances through flames representing dancing through life.

Shiva, Hindu deity and Lord of the Dance, in a front-facing position, legs firmly planted as he gazes outward. This less-common representation is reminiscent of 11th c. Chola pieces.

Shiva is the source of all movement within the cosmos, represented by the arch of flames. The dance releases humans from the lower self or ego and an attachment ro the physical world.

As Nataraja (Sanskrit: Lord of Dance) Shiva represents apocalypse and creation as he dances away the illusory world of Maya transforming it into power and enlightenment.

Here, the Lord Shiva dances through the flames of enlightenment.
